Holy Family Catholic School: A Tradition of Excellence, Faith and Service

Students at the Holy Family Catholic School

Holy Family Catholic School has been a cornerstone of faith and education in northeast St. Petersburg since its founding in 1956. For nearly seventy years, Holy Family has proudly served generations of students, providing a nurturing environment where children grow academically, spiritually, and socially.

Our program begins in our Early Childhood Center at just one year of age and our school serves student through grade eight. Holy Family offers a seamless educational grounded in Catholic values and a commitment to excellence. Our mission is to educate the “whole child—mind, body, and soul” through a rigorous curriculum and a faith-filled community that fosters curiosity, compassion, and character.

At Holy Family, academics are both challenging and inspiring. Our dedicated faculty, who are all Florida state certified, and staff are passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential. The curriculum emphasizes strong foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and science, while also educating children in critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Students are given the tools to succeed not only in school but also in life, preparing them to become confident leaders and lifelong learners.

Beyond the classroom, Holy Family offers many enrichment opportunities that allow students to explore their talents and interests. Our sports program builds teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. We also offer a wide range of clubs and extracurricular activities, such as, student leadership, choir, art club, and community service projects that are designed to teach leadership, creativity, and collaboration.

Students also benefit from special area classes, which include art, music and performing arts, physical education, Spanish, and library skills and research. These programs enrich students understanding, helping students develop into well-rounded individuals. Whether performing on stage, expressing themselves through art, or learning a new language, students discover the joy of learning.

What truly sets Holy Family apart is its faith-centered community. Rooted in Catholic tradition, the school integrates faith into everyday learning, fostering kindness, respect, and service. Students attend Mass regularly, participate in prayer and service projects, and are encouraged to live their faith. Families are an essential part of the Holy Family Catholic School, and the partnership between home, school, and parish creates a strong sense of belonging.

Each day, our teachers strive to meet students where they are—using age-appropriate methods and a variety of teaching methods. Whether through hands-on activities in the early grades, collaborative projects in the middle school, or faith-based discussions that connect lessons and our faith to life, Holy Family’s approach ensures that every child is seen, supported, and challenged.

As Holy Family Catholic School continues to grow, its mission remains the same: to pursue excellence, teach our faith, serve one another, and prepare students to shine brightly in the world. Holy Family Catholic School — where knowledge, faith, and community come together to shape tomorrow’s leaders.
